Orlando's first Popeyes. When? Who the hell knows and who cares! This location is a by-stander to the insane Fairbanks/17-92 traffic, so you can't turn in from Fairbanks, instead you'll have to enter from North bound 17-92 (or u-turn it) or enter from east bound Fairbanks. The drive thru menu doesn't show everything, so, there's that. But if you ask, the drive thru person will help you. So why do I keep returning to this location as opposed to the one on Semoran/408? The customer service and the shorter wait times. Seriously. I'm an easy person to please, especially when customer service is consistent and friendly. Now, I'm not saying the one on Semoran/408 have bad customer service, it's just inconsistent and kind of cold at times. Also who doesn't enjoy the reminder before you order that this location was the first one built in Orlando :) The food choice, well is chicken. It's a fast food kind of place, but a chicken place that hasn't gone the sad "Trans fat free" route, thus this means tasty chicken! The sides are also tasty, I really enjoy the cole slaw and the biscuit is quite yummy. Another reason I like this location... the sweet tea here is actually sweeter, we seem to be in an odd part of the south where east coast sweet tea is in competition with southern style sweet tea. The two are vastly different. Honestly you cant go wrong with Popeyes, as Little Nicky has taught us "Popeyes Chicken is the Shit!" and that is so true!

Love me some Popeyes! Only a few locations in Orlando, and I don't mind making a drive to get it. Fast service but the staff was a little odd ( I think I was too happy for them). The restaurant was clean and tidy and food delicious.

Love the staff at this location, Travis is about the friendliest person you can come across.always asks how your doing and is always smiling. Sad to hear he is getting transferred but it's because he got promoted. I love this store best chicken in town. Love that chicken!

I know that most people typically aren't concerned with service when they go to a fast food joint. As long as the order is right, food is hot and what they expected, most are fine with that.. I'm pretty much the same.... however , unless the staff just goes out of their way to be rude . That is how I got treated at this location. I pulled through the drive through on Friday 9/26/14 around 1:30 pm. I asked for the $5.00 special I saw on tv, 3 chicken tenders, two sides and a biscuit. The guy taking my order yelled back "yeahhh we ain't got that no more".. So I then ordered the regular 3 piece chicken tenders with fries.. but then I changed it quickly to the 5 piece... I guess this somehow " bothered" or annoyed the guy because he let out a distinctive sigh through his headphone set for me to hear.. Mind you , I can see him from where I was ordering.. There were no cars in front of me and its a clear view into the drive through window from the speaker where you place your order. When I pulled up to him, he was standing there with a deliberate look on his face as though I was crazy ... (A well thought out look). It made me so uncomfortable, I found myself feeling bad, that I actually apologized and then said to him " why are you looking at me like that?, I can't be the only person who has changed their mind"? He didn't say anything , didn't smile. He could have said " that's ok". He took my cc and walked off. I asked for some Mardi mustard n he yelled to some other guy who said " arite". When that guy gave me my sauce, I thanked him and got no response.. Not even " your welcome". Then the guy came back with my cc receipt, I THANKED him too and said have a nice day, he also, said nothing and slammed the window on me... Now I understand my review is not rating their food. However, with such poor service and the obvious effort that was displayed to make a customer feel that uncomfortable, I will not be returning to that location ever.

STOP! Listening to Peter Gabriel's Big Time while reading is required. If you're not going to do it, just skip this review, because this is written to go along with that music, not whatever other background noise you have.
